PRACTICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Practice Terms & Conditions explain how Helianthus Homeopathy operates and are intended to ensure a professional and positive experience for all clients. By booking an appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Scope of Practice
Helianthus Homeopathy provides alternative and complementary healthcare through Homeopathy, Systematic Kinesiology and Nutritional Therapy. These therapies are intended to restore, support and maintain health and wellbeing. They do not provide medical diagnosis or emergency medical care in place of a registered medical practitioner. Clients remain responsible for seeking appropriate medical assessment, advice or treatment where necessary.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information regarding their health, medical history, medications, supplements and any other information relevant to their care. Clients should inform the Practitioner of any significant changes during the course of treatment.

Appointments may be booked online, by phone or by email and are confirmed once the booking process has been completed.

Appointments booked on behalf of another adult require that person’s consent. For clients under 16, consent must be provided by a parent or person with parental responsibility, who must remain present during the consultation.

Consultation fees are due on the day of, or prior to, the appointment. Payment may be made by cash, card or bank transfer.

Nutritional Therapy appointments require completion of the Nutritional Deficiencies Questionnaire, which must be returned at least three working days before the appointment to allow sufficient time for assessment and preparation. The Nutritional Therapy element of the consultation cannot proceed without the completed questionnaire.

A £25 charge is payable when booking a Nutritional Therapy appointment to cover the assessment of the completed questionnaire and preparation of the nutritional analysis ahead of the consultation. The £25 charge becomes non-refundable once the completed questionnaire has been submitted.

If you arrive late for your appointment, every effort will be made to provide your full consultation; however, this cannot be guaranteed and appointments will normally finish at the scheduled time to avoid delaying subsequent clients.

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be charged in full.

If the Practitioner needs to rearrange or cancel an appointment, an alternative appointment will be offered or, if this is not suitable, any payment already made will be refunded in full.

Cancellation charges may be waived at the Practitioner’s discretion in exceptional circumstances.

The Practitioner reserves the right to decline future appointments where repeated cancellations or non-attendance occur.

Communication by phone, email and WhatsApp is welcomed for appointments, follow-up questions and updates relating to your care. Every effort is made to respond to messages  promptly (usually within 24 hours); however, response times cannot be guaranteed and outside normal working hours, during periods of holiday or illness, there may be delays.

Phone, email and WhatsApp should not be relied upon where medical assessment or advice may be required. In these circumstances, you should seek appropriate medical advice from your GP or other suitably qualified healthcare professional. Where urgent medical assessment or emergency care is required, you should contact your GP, NHS 111 or the appropriate emergency medical services.

Services are provided with reasonable care and skill, based on the information provided at the time of consultation and the Practitioner’s professional judgement. Recommendations may need to be reviewed where a client’s circumstances or health status change.

Where nutritional supplements are recommended, they are selected on the basis of their quality, formulation, purity and bioavailability, together with their suitability for your individual needs. Clients are responsible for consulting their GP and/or pharmacist before commencing any recommended supplement to ensure there are no contraindications with prescribed medication, existing medical conditions or other healthcare treatment.

Where clients choose to purchase alternative brands or substitute recommended products, they do so at their own discretion. The Practitioner cannot accept responsibility for differences in formulation, quality, bioavailability, suitability or outcomes that may result from the use of products other than those recommended.

All personal and health information shared with the Practitioner is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with UK data protection legislation.

Client records are stored securely and retained in accordance with legal and professional requirements. Further information about how your personal information is collected, used, stored and protected can be found in the Privacy Notice below.
